Tonga is an island country in the South Pacific Ocean consisting of a chain of volcanic and coral islands, characterized by tropical forests, coral reefs, and sandy coastlines.
๐ Tonga is an island country located in Oceania, in the South Pacific Ocean, east of Fiji. It lies southeast of Fiji, southwest of Samoa, and northeast of New Zealand.
As an island nation, Tonga has no land borders and is surrounded entirely by the Pacific Ocean. It consists of more than 170 islands, grouped into three main island chains: Tongatapu, Haสปapai, and Vavaสปu.
Tongaโs terrain varies from low coral islands to volcanic islands with higher elevations. The country has a tropical climate, with rich marine ecosystems and fertile land for agriculture. Its location in the Pacific has historically made it part of Polynesian navigation routes and cultural exchange.
