The Bahamas is an island country in the Atlantic Ocean consisting of hundreds of coral islands and cays, known for its shallow turquoise waters, coral reefs, and tropical marine landscapes southeast of Florida.

๐Ÿ“ The Bahamas is an island country located in the Atlantic Ocean, southeast of the United States and north of the Caribbean Sea. It consists of a vast archipelago of islands and cays spread across the western Atlantic. The Bahamas lies to the southeast of United States (specifically off the coast of Florida), north of Cuba, and northwest of Haiti and Dominican Republic.
As an island nation, The Bahamas has no land borders and is entirely surrounded by the Atlantic Ocean. Its terrain is generally low-lying and flat, composed mostly of limestone islands with white-sand beaches and extensive coral reefs. The surrounding waters are known for their clarity and vibrant marine life. Its geographic location has made it historically important for maritime routes, tourism, and trade in the Atlantic region.

What is an ISO Country Code?

ISO country codes come from the international standard ISO 3166 created by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO). These codes are used globally in databases, aviation systems, banking, shipping, and international data systems to uniquely identify countries and territories.

ISO 3166-1 codes are the two-letter country codes such as US, FR, or JP. These are called Level-1 ISO codes.

Only ISO 3166-1 codes support flag emojis. Flag emojis are created by combining two Unicode regional indicator letters that match the country's ISO two-letter code.

ISO 3166-2 codes represent states, provinces, or regions. Example: US-AZ = Arizona CA-ON = Ontario Subdivision codes do not have flag emojis.
