Oman is a country on the southeastern coast of the Arabian Peninsula characterized by desert landscapes, rugged mountain ranges such as the Hajar Mountains, and coastlines along the Arabian Sea and the Gulf of Oman.

๐Ÿ“ Oman is a country located in the Middle East in Western Asia, situated on the southeastern coast of the Arabian Peninsula. It is bordered by United Arab Emirates to the northwest, Saudi Arabia to the west, and Yemen to the southwest, with coastlines along the Arabian Sea to the south and southeast and the Gulf of Oman to the northeast.
Omanโ€™s landscape is diverse, featuring deserts such as the Rubโ€™ al Khali (Empty Quarter) in the interior, mountain ranges like the Hajar Mountains in the north, and coastal plains along its shores. The country also includes the Musandam Peninsula, which overlooks the strategic Strait of Hormuz.
Omanโ€™s location has historically made it a major center for maritime trade and navigation, connecting the Arabian Peninsula with East Africa, South Asia, and beyond.

What is an ISO Country Code?

ISO country codes come from the international standard ISO 3166 created by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO). These codes are used worldwide in databases, aviation systems, banking, shipping, and international data systems to uniquely identify countries and territories.

ISO 3166-1 codes are the two-letter country codes such as US, FR, or JP. These are called Level-1 ISO codes.

Only ISO 3166-1 codes support flag emojis. Flag emojis are created by combining two Unicode regional indicator letters that match the countryโ€™s ISO two-letter code.

ISO 3166-2 codes represent states, provinces, or regions. Example: US-AZ = Arizona CA-ON = Ontario Subdivision codes do not have flag emojis.
ISO-2 Code: OM
